Technical Info

Main Server & Any LAN Servers

Please discuss your current or intended server specifications with us in order that we can tailor our advice to your business.

Workstations

Any machine of a reasonable specification purchased in the last few years should be sufficient to run EncoreLive.

SQL Server

This is required for the main server. The version of this required and the cost implication, if any, will depend on how many branches you have.

Local Network

For optimum performance, Core Systems strongly recommends the use of cabled networks using 100mbps or 1000mbps switches rather than a Wireless network.

Remote Access

To ensure Core Systems provides you with the best possible support service, our Support Service Team must be given remote access to your main SQL machine and each local server.

Wide Area Network

If EncoreLive is being used between a number of branches, a secure Wide Area or Virtual Private Network (VPN) must be in place. Individual offices will need to connect to the main server, which is hosting the SQL database, and be given read, write and delete permissions.

The number of branches you have, and the volume of property handled, will determine the size of the connection you require for the Wide Area Network to the central site. Core Systems recommends this should be a minimum connection of an ADSL Premium Max or Leased Lines. Your satellite branches will need at least an ADSL connection.

Email

Each branch must have an email server programme for outgoing email, this will reduce the amount of traffic across your VPN and give you better performance.

General Network Configuration

We always recommend you speak to your hardware supplier with regard to backup devices and procedures, anti-virus and network and internet security.
